First, full disclosure
I work for Lenox and Sixteenth. I run the brand’s direct-to-consumer marketing. So this Lenox and Sixteenth review comes from someone who is very close to these products.
I see almost everything that brings them to life. That covers product development, brand marketing and the launches. I also work very closely with the founder herself.
So no, I’m not a neutral stranger. But I am a real customer. I use these products on my own face every day, and I’ll tell you exactly why.
New here? I’m Sofia. You can find my everyday skin and beauty on Instagram at @by_sofiadediaz.
How I know Amy Peterson
Amy Peterson is the founder of Lenox and Sixteenth. She and I have worked together for more than six years. I’ve done the marketing for her skincare practice that whole time.
But before she was my client, she was my skin hero. Amy cleared my acne. That’s a big story, and it deserves its own post.
When Amy started making her own products, I already trusted her with my skin. Now I get to see how she builds them, up close.
My honest review: the quick version
My skin is combination. Some days it’s oily, some days it’s dry. It’s also very acne-prone. I’ve fought acne since I was young, and hormonal breakouts hit hard in my late 20s and 30s, especially through my two pregnancies.
Here’s what I use and what each one does for me:

| Product | What it is | When I use it | What it does for me |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Laser Serum | Triple acid resurfacing serum | Night | Stops new pimples, wakes me up with glassy skin |
| Prep Pads | Two-sided hydrating pad | Before my serums | Baby-soft, plump skin; helps everything after work harder |
| The Preservationist Vitamin C | Cream-serum hybrid | Every morning | The best glow I’ve found, right before makeup |
| Soft Landing | Peptide moisturizer | Daily | Light but deeply hydrating; the first moisturizer I love |
Lenox and Sixteenth The Laser Serum: my nighttime game changer
The Laser Serum is a triple acid complex. It resurfaces your skin and exfoliates deep down. Think of it as clearing away the old, dull layer so fresh skin can show.
It’s perfect for my combination, acne-prone skin. I put it on at night, and it has changed my skin.
Here’s how I know it works. On the nights I skip it, I wake up with a tiny pimple. Almost every time.
It’s also my little secret for waking up with glass skin. I go to sleep with it on, and I wake up with a beautiful, glassy shine. Some mornings I don’t even want to wash my face. (I still do.)
Lenox and Sixteenth Prep Pads: my favorite skincare product, period
The Prep Pads are Amy’s newest product. They are by far my favorite skincare product on the market.
I’ve never seen anything like them. And because I work for the company, I can tell you for a fact: nothing else like them exists right now. This was one of Amy’s very first ideas, and it shows how genius she is.
This is not an exfoliating pad. It’s a hydrating pad. Each one is soaked in humectants. Those are ingredients that pull water into your skin.
The pad has two sides. Here’s how I use it:
- Soft silicone bead side first. I massage it all over my face. I also do my neck, chest and even my hands.
- Flip to the other side. This pushes even more of the humectants into my skin.
After, my skin feels baby soft and super plump. It feels awake. The massage brings blood flow to the surface, so everything else I put on works better. Every serum after it works harder and smarter.
Lenox and Sixteenth The Preservationist Vitamin C: the glow product
The Preservationist is my other big favorite. I use it every single morning.
I reach for it most on mornings when my skin feels driest. And I always use it before makeup, because it gives me the most incredible glow. In my opinion, no other product on the market gives you a glow like this one.
It’s a cream-serum hybrid, so it’s not your average vitamin C. It’s so hydrating that some days I skip moisturizer after it.
Lenox and Sixteenth Soft Landing: the first moisturizer I’ve ever loved
Soft Landing is a peptide moisturizer. Honestly, I’ve never geeked out over a moisturizer before.
I was very close to the launch campaign for this one. But with oily, acne-prone skin, I never had strong feelings about moisturizers. I’ve always had to stick to very basic, acne-safe ones.
Then I started using Soft Landing. Now I don’t think I can live without it. I know that sounds dramatic. But it’s so soft, and it feels delicious on my skin.
It’s lightweight, yet it still hydrates deeply. The formula has four unique peptide blends. That’s what does it for me. It’s innovative, and I love it.
The bottom line
Yes, I work for Lenox and Sixteenth. And yes, I’d use every one of these products even if I didn’t. If you have acne-prone or combination skin like mine, start with The Laser Serum at night and the Prep Pads before your serums.
